Jacob Powell was awarded the 2022 Charles M. Tipton Student Research Award. This award is presented by the American College of Sports Medicine to the two students with the most outstanding research projects being presented at the national ACSM meeting. Jacob’s abstract entitled “White Matter Perivascular Space Burden is Associated with Mild Traumatic Brain Injury History in Soldiers” focuses on the Matthew Gfeller Center’s work with Special Operations Forces combat Soldiers. He will present the abstract at the 2022 ACSM Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA held May 31-June 4.
