Kiefer in NEJM

Dr. Kiefer is a co-author of a paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine. In Dr. Kiefer’s role on the project, he co-developed the idea for the driving simulator/eye tracking intervention with the lead author. Additionally, Dr. Kiefer and Ryan MacPherson (Assistant Director of Technical Development) singlehandedly led the development and implementation of the feedback that drove the successful intervention. This project and their expertise highlights the capabilities of the STAR Heel Performance Laboratory as an innovation hub facilitating convergent science by developing and deploying digital technologies.
